Shifting Mathematical Authority from Teacher to Community (NCTM, Mathematics Teacher, Nov 2010)
This article shares one teacher's determination to shift the focus in the classroom from the teacher as key expert and resource to the community of learners as the key experts and resources within the classroom. The author informs this decision with exploration of the challenge through two different classrooms and teachers' experiences.
